Tokyos glitterati turn out
for Metropolis annual Halloween bash at Velfarre
On Wednesday, October 27, over 1,500 of the
city's most glamorous ghosts and ghouls descended on Roppongi
for a night of wicked revelry at superclub Velfarre. DJs Mike
Mckenna, Dave Twomey and Duck Rock spun a web of frighteningly
good beats, and free food and drinks flowed until the witching
hour. A particularly spirited costume contest was co-hosted
by Metropolis movie dude Don Morton, with round trip tickets
to Sri Lanka courtesy of Sri Lankan Airlines up for grabs.
The grand prize went to Keiko Shimizu of Tokyo-a very alluring
Eiffel Tower (center). Ooh la la!
But some of the event's biggest winners didn't even show up:
