With the coming New Year’s holidays, most museums and galleries will be closed from around Dec 27 to Jan 7. There are a few exceptions to this, however. Laforet Museum in Harajuku, for example, will be open Dec 31-Jan 3, 11am-6pm. Also Gallery ef in Asakusa will have a live painting event (with music) Dec 31. But before planning any excursions, be sure to call or check the website of the chosen space to confirm days and hours of operation.
